Did someone say Christmas jumper?

Christmas jumpers 2015

Yes, I realise it’s only the first week in November and no, I don’t think it’s a little early for this…

Christmas seems to suddenly be everywhere right now. I literally couldn’t move for the festive decs and mince pies in M&S yesterday, and tomorrow our television screens will be graced with the first showing of the John Lewis Christmas ad. What’s more, the Christmas market comes to Birmingham next week which makes it official – it’s time to get your Christmas jumper!!

Family christmas jumpers 2015And as seems to be the case with each passing year, more and more retailers are catching on to the fact that there’s money to be made here. What started out as a comedic novelty for the last day at work, has now become high fashion (okay, maybe not high fashion)…But alongside those that play ‘Jingle bells’ (yes, I have that one – thank you Primark), are fancy fair isle, casual cashmere and wholesome knits – there’s a Christmas jumper out there for everyone!

So here are my top picks from the high street this year for the whole family.

  • Cream and navy fair isle: House of Fraser £55
  • Bergundy stag: John Lewis £69.95
  • Burton £20

  • Cream reindeer crew neck: Next £11.50 – £12.50
  • Pink embroidered: Next £21 – £23
  • Robin: John Lewis £22

Happy shopping! x

Where will you be heading for your Christmas jumper this year?

Yay! So excited for Christmas this year, especially as it’s my daughters first! We’ve picked her a Chrsitmas jumper up from Cath Kidston, so now I need to find one 🙂 #TheList

Aw it will be so magical! Our daughter was one week old last Christmas so I’m looking forward to a less frantic time this year and having a little more energy now that she’s sleeping through! I still need to pick her up a crimbo jumper, I think ours will make do another year 🙂

Fab selection! My big daughter can still fit into her jumpers from last Christmas and the toddler has her old hand-me-downs! I did buy a new top for them from Sainsbury’s though – they had a good selection!

I really don’t think you can beat the supermarkets for kids clothes. I haven’t checked out their Christmas range yet but definitely will be doing!

I do love a good christmas jumper. When is it acceptable to start wearing them. I rekon now Bonfire night has passed I might break mine out. I know i’ll probably look ridiculous but why not? They make me happy. That grey reindeer print is gorgeous! #TheList

I reckon it gets earlier and earlier each year – definitely acceptable after this weekend I’d say! Especially since they aren’t all comedy now. I’m going to the Frankfurt christmas market next week so I’m definitely cracking mine out! x

I LOVE THIS POST! Every year I’m the only one without a Christmas jumper because I can’t ever find one I like. I love the creamy coloured one for women and the one with a robin. I must have one this year! I love the little girls ones too. They’re sooooooo cute! x

You should definitely get one this year! I don’t feel like it’s Christmas until I have mine hehe! I know, I really need to get Taylor a cute outfit this year. Last year she had a ‘my first Christmas’ baby grow which was tiny! I’m looking forward to getting her a cute dress this year xx

Great choices! I love them all 🙂 I’m so excited to dress little H up this year. I really feel like I should have dressed her up more last year, but she was only 3 weeks old at Christmas. Never mind I plan to make up for it this year hehehe #KCACOLS

I love a Christmas jumper! I picked up an extra large one with a reindeer on it for when I was pregnant last year. Obviously that’s too big now so I have a great excuse to go out for a new one. Thanks for the inspiration 🙂 #KCACOLS

You know I don’t have a Christmas Jumper! Never had one, and my girls don’t either. OH no! How could this happen? I do have a primark store very close by, so I must stop by and check them out! I love them! The reindeer one would be my kind… Here it’s getting X-masy as well and I can’t wait. I’m so ready!

What a lovely post Natalie! Last Christmas was the first time that I wore a Christmas jumper! I didn’t care much about it before or maybe I didn’t understand it (it is not common in my country as Christmas is during the summer) but I decided to buy one for all of us and then we took photos of the 4 of us wearing one! Even Sienna that had only 4 months had one!! LOL I loved the whole experience! It definitely lifted up the whole Christmas spirit! From your list I like the one from House of Fraser for women, the one from John Lewis for men, the one from House of Fraser for boys and the one from Next for girls. Thanks so much for sharing this at #KCACOLS. I love having you here!! Not long now to have you as a guest co-host!! 🙂 xxx
