When 5am wake ups aren’t so bad

when 5am wake ups aren't so bad

For a few weeks now Taylor’s started to rise earlier than her usual wake up time of ‘anytime past 6am’. I really can’t moan about it as she’s been a pretty good sleeper ever since those first six months and she’s still going down for us at 7pm, which for me is the most important part (cue – now let’s eat!!)

She’s also full of cold at the moment having picked up everything going at nursery, so I’ll let her off!

And aside from all that, I’ve started to actually quite like (dare I say it?) our early mornings together. It seems to be the only time of day when we can all relax together for an hour or so before the rush of the morning routine begins. Taylor’s happy to wait until 6.30ish for her morning bottle now, so she’ll come into our bed for a snuggle. Our dog Max also comes into our room in the mornings and gets cosy on a throw at the side of the bed (no, not on the bed – as much as the hubby would love him to be!!)

We’ve had our king size bed since the hubby and I first got together and to say that I love getting into it is an understatement. We went for a divan bed with a memory foam mattress and a cream headboard that would fit in with any bedroom colour scheme we chose. It was a big investment for us at the time since we knew that we would have it for years, so it would need to stand the test of time.

And it really has come into its own since starting a family!

But finding a stylish bed at an affordable price is no easy feat. I was contacted by online bed specialists, bedzrus recently about their huge range of king size and super king size beds (and beds in general!). A quick look at their website confirmed that they really do have a fantastic range and all at brilliant value – I was almost spoilt for choice when trying to pick out my favourites!

I’ve chosen styles that, like ours, are classic and will still be loved through changing bedroom trends.

  2. Harmony Buckingham white king sized bed £199.99

What do you think?

Are you looking for a new bed? What’s your bedroom style?

We just brought a new bed in March I love it. I too love it when sometimes my girls wake up earlier than normal and we have a slow start to the day with snuggles in bed! x #TheList

I think those beds are definitely classics. Hubby and I really need to get a bed frame. We’ve been putting it off since moving across country. I think one of these would be perfect for us since it’ll match any decor and we’re still moving around a bit for the time being. Also, I love that you have those early morning snuggles! That’s my favorite way to start an early day too! And my hubby would love to bring our dog into bed too. Haha! But, for now I keep him the furball in his own bed on the floor.

5 a.m.! Better you than me! Although I do remember the days, I am a bit older now and 5 a.m. is the middle of the night for me. LOL but she is really doggone cute. And as long as she comes in to snuggle I guess it wouldn’t be so bad.

I love all these beds I think the first and the last are my favorite, I love the clean lines. And that tufted headboard is gorgeous.
