We’re big fans of the Muddy Puddles kids’ clothing range in our house – ever since we first reviewed their adorable Pac-a-Mac’s last year. We’ve had so much use out of it, so we were more than happy to accept the offer of a new one to review from the Spring/Summer collection that they’ve just launched!
To celebrate the launch of their Spring/Summer range, Muddy Puddles has kindly offered to give away one of their new season Pac-a-Macs to one of our readers. See below for full competition details and how to enter.
The new Spring collection
I loved the cute raindrop print we previously had, and the new collection of Pac-a-Macs doesn’t disappoint either. With a range of bold, colourful prints they help brighten up any rainy day (and let’s face it, we have a few of those!). There are six unisex designs to choose from – we opted for the navy floral print with contrasting turquoise trims and zip.
The Muddy Puddles Pac-a-Macs are all super waterproof, breathable and lightweight with fully taped seams to keep out the wind. I love that they are also machine washable and wipe-clean – so perfect for muddy outings! I find that they really come into their own over the Spring/Summer, once you’ve ditched the thick winter coat but you’re never quite sure what the (British) weather is going to do! We usually layer ours up with a hoodie underneath, but on warmer days we can ditch the hoodie.
One of the neatest things about the Muddy Puddles Pac-a-Mac is that it packs away into its own pocket, with a handy carabiner clip so that you can attach it to a bag, belt loop or buggy. As well as being super practical, it also makes you look like a super mum (or dad) who’s never caught out in the rain!
Of course we wanted to venture outdoors to put our new Pac-a-Mac to the test! Last weekend we decided to use our National Trust membership and made a trip to visit Caughton Court in Alcester, Warwickshire.
The weather was pretty gloomy early on in the day, so we layered up. I really like how the Pac-a-Mac has a zip that fastens all the way up to the chin and also how the large hood really does stay up – unlike those on some of Taylor’s other coats which are easily blown off by a gust of wind!
I also love that the Pac-a-Mac dips low at the back. Toddlers will sit down wherever takes their fancy – whether it’s in the mud or in a puddle – so it’s ideal to keep those cute bums well and truly covered up!
Overall we still love the Pac-a-Mac and would most definitely recommend it as our favourite waterproof jacket.
