It’s been an eventful week for this little one since she had her first day at pre-school on Wednesday. I was worried that she might struggle to adjust since she’s spent every day this summer at home with me, but she literally skipped into the place!
I’d been telling her before she started that she would be doing lots of painting, which she loves, so when she walked into the classroom and there were painting stations set up she couldn’t have been more pleased! At the end of the day she came bounding over to me to show me all of her paintings.
I must’ve told her at some point that she was “a big girl now” as she seems to have caught onto it and likes to remind me of it on a daily basis. Whenever she wants to do something herself and doesn’t want my help she says “Mummy, I’m a big girl now.”
I love this shot I got of her this week when we fooling around one morning. I think it captures the essence of who she is during this chapter of her life – somewhere between a toddler and a “big girl”.
